Dave Archer is the founder of Arch Design Works and inventor of unique and functional bike tools. An engineer with B.S and M.S degrees in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering and nearly 50 years of experience, Dave was drawn to cycling later in life than most enthusiasts but quickly made up for lost time, riding and competing on road and gravel.
After agreeing to the acquisition offer of his successful engineering services company, Dave developed VeloAngle, a professional measuring system acquired by Fit Kit Systems. With Dupli-Fit, the same measurement and engineering principles are retained at a price point accessible to any enthusiast.
During the development of Dupli-Fit, a particularly tight gravel tire installation let to a slip which in turn resulted in a bent brake rotor. Not finding a practical solution available, Rotor Protect was created – “Don’t Get Bent!”.
